This Startling Lack of Color - Hardcover Limited Edition

from $19.99

They hadn't planned on seeing an explosion--Alece and Blue. They were simply stargazing...

So begins Quarter Press's second book-length publication and first novel, written by Christopher W. Smith and illustrated by Tessa Pray.

Synopsis

When a nearby star on Orion's belt went supernova, everything changed--including Blue being blinded in one eye and a rainbow-colored meteor hurtling towards earth.

Then, the colors start to fade.

Red goes first. Cardinals turn gray, stop signs almost black, and taillights become invisible. And that's when Alece loses Blue.

As the meteor nears, erasing the rest of the world's colors, Alece awaits its impact, its destruction of all things. However, when it breaks Earth's atmosphere, only a fragment survives, crashing into the field outside her home. But it's not a lump of iridescent metal; it's an old man who speaks in riddles and seems to be aging in reverse.

Now, Alece must navigate her life in a world without Blue, solve the mysteries of this celestial being, and figure out how to bring color back into her world.
